prada marfa
from elmgreen and dragset posted in art and design by nevereatshreddedwheat
This 15-by-25-foot Prada boutique just off Route 90 in West Texas is a sculpture by artists Michael Emlgreen and Ingar Dragset. It's located about 35 miles northwest of the small city of Marfa which has been a hub for modern art ever since Donald Judd moved there in the early 70s.
Prada Marfa was vandalized (since it does sit out here alone in the Texas desert) three days after it was installed in 2005, and someone ran off with the Prada shoes and handbags. The building was repaired and cleaned of graffiti, and now it's stocked with bottomless handbags that hide a theft-deterrent system... so no stealing.
sweatshop

It's no longer here. Sorry. Someone chiseled it off the wall and put it up for sale on an auction website, which I guess is something you can do if you're a cretin.
origami crane

There was a dispute over whether this origami crane with goldfish was actually a Banksy piece until he claimed it on his website. It's located in Lyme Regis right down the road from here on Coombe St. on the side of a building next to the canal.
sweatshop

Banksy's sweatshop laborer on the side of a Poundmark store in North London. This one has been covered by plexiglass with some of that union jack bunting preserved between the plexiglass and the wall.
