Alphabet City's 7B Horseshoe Bar is the stand in for the bar Luke Cage owns in the first season of Netflix's Jessica Jones.
Many movies have also taken advantage of this East Village dive bar's ambiance over the years including Crocodile Dundee, The Verdict and The Godfather II.
vulcan
from star trek posted in television by nevereatshreddedwheat
Vulcan is a prairie town in Alberta, Canada. It was named after the Roman god of fire, but the small town of less than 2,000 people has since decided to capitalize on the fact that it shares a name with Spock's fictional home planet Vulcan in Star Trek.
For over twenty years they have hosted the Spock Days Star Trek convention. They built a replica of the Starship Enterprise, and at the Tourism and Trek Station you can see some Star Trek memorabilia and presumably also find out about the history of the town's grain-based economy.
stitches (former)

I don't know if you can call the open mic night at Stitches in Boston legendary, but it is where Louis C.K., Sarah Silverman, Adam Sandler and many other aspiring comics got on stage for the very first time in the 80s. Amateurs were given five minutes. Louis C.K. bombed and left the stage after a minute and half, but Sarah Silverman has said her set the first time up 'was pretty successful.'
The comedy club used to be located in the front room (currently the Paradise Lounge) of the Paradise Rock Club.
