The Fifth Element is the storefront of the Minneapolis hip-hop record label Rhymesayers. Rhymesayers was founded in 1995 by Sean Daley (Slug), Anthony Davis (Ant), Brent Sayers (Siddiq) and Musab Saad, all members of the early-90s twin-cities hip-hop crew the Headshots. Some of the artists currently signed to Rhymesayers include Atmosphere, Brother Ali, P.O.S. and Murs.
Their retail store on Hennepin in Uptown, Minneapolis opened in 1999 and often hosts in-store performances.

The cover for Jurassic 5's album Quality Control was shot at the intersection of San Vicente Boulevard and La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles. The tree stump that they have their headphones plugged into was either a prop or it's since been completely uprooted.

That Cult of Ray album cover is terrible. Why did I post that? Here is the Narbonne mascot. According to Frank Black himself: "They were called the Gauchos after the Argentinian Gauchos because, of course, the high school was called Narbonne High School after Narbonne, France." Makes sense.

Charles Michael Kittridge Thompson IV a.k.a Black Francis a.k.a Frank Black attended high school at Narbonne in the early '80s. A student Shazeb Andleeb was beaten to death here in 1995, the subject of the song The Last Stand Of Shazeb Andleeb off of Frank Black's third album The Cult of Ray.
