This is the address of 30 Rock character Liz Lemon (Tina Fey). I'm watching the one where she tries to scare her upstairs neighbor out of his apartment. This show is great.

Back on August 21, 1965, you could have watched the Beatles play here for $4.50. About 25,000 other people did when fab four came through on their North American tour.

from led zeppelin, the who, posted in music by prof_improbable
This is the former location of the Guthrie Theater, which used to be attached to the Walker Art Center.
In the summer of 1969, there were a couple of big shows here: Led Zeppelin played on May 18th, and the Who played on June 8th.
The Guthrie Theater moved to it's new location on the banks of the Mississippi River in 2006. The Walker Art Center underwent a revision in 2005 to make it look like a crazy robot-head ready to eat Hennepin Ave traffic.

from jimi hendrix, the doors, the who posted in music by prof_improbable
This is the former site of the Minneapolis Auditorium. Opened in 1927 and demolished in 1989, it had a couple of legendary shows in the late 60's.
On Nov 2, 1968, Jimi Hendrix played here. Eight days later, on Nov. 10, 1968, The Doors played here.
On July 3, 1970, The Who played here.
The site is now the location of the Minneapolis Convention Center and no longer a venue for music, although the Minnesota Rollergirls occasionally rock the place out.
