The Eli Roth-produced Netflix original Hemlock Grove is set in the fictional former steel town of Hemlock Grove, Pennsylvania. Filming was originally going to take place outside Pittsburgh, but they ran into difficulties (something about misunderstanding how film tax credits work) so it ended up being filmed in and around Toronto.
Queen St. in Port Perry, Ontario is the stand-in for Hemlock Grove's Main Street.

For the David Liebe Hart song "Father and Son".
"My son Chip passed away. He was stolen out of a box at the Dicksboros Apartment. Now I got a new boy, and, this is the new one that replaced 'Chip the Black Boy' that was stolen."
According to his song "Dicksboro", the structure was built in 1920 and Sidney Poitier stayed here. So did Julie Andrews.
The apartment building has received poor reviews on apartmentratings.com and is listed on the bedbudregisty.
