This was the family home of his mother, Julia Stanley. Lennon moved in with his aunt and uncle to 251 Menlove Ave (or Mendips).

Richard Starkey (a.k.a. Ringo Starr) was born at this address on July 7, 1940.

His neighborhood was strafed with bombs during World War II. Richard and Elsie Starkey rented a house at 9 Madryn Street for 10 shillings (£0.50) a week, but separated three years later and mother and son moved to a smaller, less expensive house in nearby Admiral Grove.

harrison’s birthplace

George Harrison was born here on February 25, 1943. He lived in this small terraced house in a cul-de-sac with his parents and three siblings for 6 years.

Harrison would later say of the house: "Try and imagine the soul entering the womb of a woman living at 12 Arnold Grove... There were all the barrage balloons, and the Germans bombing Liverpool. All that was going on. I sat outside the house a couple of years ago, imagining 1943, nipping through the spiritual world, the astral level, getting back into a body in that house. That really is strange when you consider the whole planet, all the planets there may be on a spiritual level. How do I come into that family, in that house at that time, and who am I anyway?"

the plaza hotel

The Beatles stayed here during their first trip to the United States. The throngs of fans forced them to stay in the hotel.

In London, there was one station, and the amount of radio stations in New York fascinated them. They ended up calling the radio stations to request songs.
