This location was the boyhood home of John Lennon. He lived here with his Aunt Mimi and her husband from the age of five until he was twenty-two.
The house is now in the National Trust, after it was purchased and donated by Yoko Ono. It was refurnished to fit the 50's era style and was reopened to the public on March 27th, 2003.
It is also the cover of the Oasis single "Live Forever."
quarry bank high school

Now known as the Calderstones School, this location was known as the Quarry Bank High School in the mid-50's when John Lennon went to high school here.
He had a skiffle band (a type of music popular in the UK at the time) named the Quarrymen after the high school.
dovedale primary school

This school, now known as Dovedale Junior School, was where John Lennon attended in 1948. George Harrison would later go to school here.
In 2001, John Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono, donated £15,000 for school refurbishments.
