John Belushi was given his funeral service at this location in 1982. According to Belushi's wish, Dan Aykroyd played a tape of the song "2,000 Pound Bee" to crack up the audience.
billy goat tavern
from john belushi posted in television by donkeyoti
Buried below the different bridge and road levels of Chicago's busy downtown is a small cheeseburger joint established in 1934.
Founded by Greek immigrant Billy Sianis, the Billy Goat was the inspiration for the SNL Cheeseburger sketch with John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray (Murray was an original writer for the sketch).
Also, the tavern is supposedly the basis for the "Curse of the Billy Goat" after the owner (Sianas) tried to bring a goat to a Cubs game and was ejected.
abel’s hill cemetery

John Belushi is buried at Abel's Hill Cemetery on Martha's Vineyard. Although his body was dug up once and moved (because of people desecrating the grave), he is still buried at this location, at least according to something I read on the internet.
The headstone is engraved with a skull and crossbones and reads, "I may be gone, but Rock and Roll lives on."

The Rainbow Bar and Grill opened on the Sunset Strip on April 16, 1972 with a party for Elton John. Since then, it has been a fixture of the L.A. rock scene.
Led Zeppelin made this restaurant their L.A. hangout. Anthony Kiedis recounted in his book Scar Tissue about being at the bar with his father while members of the Led Zeppelin were there.
Upstairs from the Rainbow Bar and Grill is the exclusive club, "Over the Rainbow".
John Belushi ate his last meal here (lentil soup) in booth #16.
Before it became the Rainbow, the place was called the Villa Nova restaurant. The Villa Nova was owned by film director Vincente Minnelli (married to Judy Garland). Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe met at the Villa Nova in 1952 on a blind date.
