bradbury building
from blade runner posted in movies by chewing_the_scenery
Another historical Los Angeles building (this one dates back to 1893) that has been seen in a number of films including Chinatown, (500) Days of Summer and Lethal Weapon 4. The Bradbury Building is probably best known as J. F. Sebastian's apartment in Blade Runner as well the location of the rooftop fight between Roy Batty and Deckard.
bradbury building

Some esoteric trivia: near the end of Gravity's Rainbow Pynchon writes "Philip Marlowe will suffer a horrible migraine and reach by reflex for the pint of rye in his suit pocket, and feel homesick for the lacework balconies of the Bradbury Building." This is a reference to the 1969 James Garner movie Marlowe in which the detective's office was located in this Los Angeles landmark.
monroeville mall
from dawn of the dead posted in movies by chewing_the_scenery
The Monroeville Mall just east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania was the primary filming location for 1978's Dawn of the Dead, the second of director George Romero's zombie films. JCPenney is the only store still around since the movie was shot. If walking around with fellow zombies in gory makeup is your thing, don't miss the Monroeville Mall Zombie Walk in October which is part of the larger zombie-themed convention Zombie Fest and the hub (fittingly enough) for World Zombie Day. Zombies!
milwaukee art museum
from transformers 3 posted in movies by chewing_the_scenery
I can't remember if this was supposed to be in New York or Washington D.C. Michael Bay scrambled up the geography for this movie. In reality, the Milwaukee Art Museum is located on Lake Michigan. I'm going to say it was the setting for Patrick Dempsey's car dealership. I have an attention deficiency when things aren't exploding, so sorry if these details aren't quite accurate.
frank lloyd wright’s ennis house
from blade runner posted in movies by chewing_the_scenery
This Los Angeles house, designed in the 1920s by Frank Lloyd Wright, was used for Deckard's apartment in the sci-fi classic Blade Runner, although only the exterior was shot on location. The interior was recreated on a sound stage. The house has also been used for filming in Rush Hour, The Thirteenth Floor, Twin Peaks, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and many other films and tv shows.
It is on the National Register of Historic Places.
