This club, owned by Bruno Koschmider, hired the Beatles to perform in 1960. They played for the first time on October 4, 1960, for seven hours.
The club owner owned a porn theater, the Bambi Kino, where the Beatles stayed in "small, dirty rooms" while in Hamburg.
abbey road studios

Located a short walk from the St. John's tube station, Abbey Road Studios is something of a landmark for Beatles fans.
The Beatles originally auditioned for George Martin here in 1961. They played 32 songs. They recorded songs such as "Please Please Me" and "Love Me Do". Martin did not think Pete Best had the necessary skills as a drummer.
Between 1962 and 1970, nearly all of the Beatles music was recorded here, predominantly in Studio 2. The cover for their 1969 album Abbey Road was shot on the "zebra" crossing right outside these studios.

The Star Club had a capacity for two thousand people, as well as cinema-style seating.
The Beatles played here from April 13, 1962 to May 31, 1962. It was at this time that they learned of (former bass player) Stu Sutcliffe's death.
They started another round of performances November 1, 1962 until their last performance on December 31, 1962. Ringo Starr had joined the band as the drummer by this point.
Portions of their final performance here at this location were recorded, and a remixed version was released in 1977 as "Live! at the Star-Club in Hamburg, Germany; 1962."
The club closed on December 31, 1969, and the building was destroyed by a fire in 1987.

The Cavern Club is a long-time running music venue in Liverpool. Most famously, The Beatles played their first (of a series) of gigs here on February 9, 1961. The club itself was located 3 floors underground. The band was starting to become known at this point, and they were making 25 pounds a week.
There is a statue of Lennon outside the Cavern Club.

The North End Music Store (or Nems) used to be at this location. A young John Lennon would go here to listen to records.
