cameron’s house

In Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Cameron lived in this modernist, glass-walled house in Highland Park, Illinois built by architect James Speyer for Ben Rose and his wife in 1953. The pavilion known as the Ben Rose Auto Museum that held Cameron's dad's Ferrari was built by David Haid who, like Speyer, had studied under Mies van der Rohe.

For the movie's finale, they really did crash the Ferrari out the window on a special track that kept the pavilion from being demolished. In 2009, the house was on the market for 1.65 million. No word on whether it sold.

karate kid’s apartment

This address is the apartment where Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) moves into with his mother. A beat-down apartment with a pool that has murky water in the bottom, the location only foments Daniel's status as the quintessential underdog.

karate kid’s school

This Karate Kid film location is Daniel-san's high school, and is also known as the Charles Evans Hughes Middle School. It was used in several scenes for the first Karate Kid: when Daniel and Ali are talking outside, the soccer field, and the road where Daniel causes a car accident as he runs by in his shower costume.

golf n’ stuff

Daniel-san and Ali begin (and continue) their courtship at this magical mini-golf course and video arcade. The decor is still very similar today, although the water slide was torn down in the mid-90s.

ali’s house

This Karate kid film location is Ali's (Elizabeth Shue) house. Daniel pulls up to the fancy digs with his mom in her station wagon to pick up Ali, and his wrong-side-of-the-tracksness becomes evident. Ali's parents come to the door in matching traffic outfits, and then the Larusso's have to push the station wagon away.
