brookridge farms
from ween posted in music by pete_nice
Featured in the cover art of Pure Guava, the hippie house/commune/hillbilly mansion known as Brookridge Farm was a clubhouse for Ween as they developed as musicians and as a band.
Gene Ween used to live here, and Deaner would often visit him and other friends, including Mean Ween and Guy Heller (aka "Dickey Moist" of the Moistboyz).
Deaner played in a band named Echoes with some of the Brookridge residents. Their only material was an extended version of Pink Floyd's 1971 song "Echoes."
Note: Not sure if this is the precise spot, but I think it's pretty close. If anybody has more definitive info, much appreciated.

The Lyceum Theatre is a 2,000 seat venue in the West End (Strand/Westminster) of London. A theater has been on these grounds since 1765, with the current building's façade and grand portico dating back to 1834.
Madame Tussaud's first London exhibition of waxwork creations was held here in 1802.
On July 18 and 19, 1975, Bob Marley and the Wailers recorded their performances for the album Live!. Today, the Lyceum has been the home to the Disney musical production of The Lion King since September of 1999.

On March 1, 1969, Jim Morrison was arrested after a Doors show at the Dinner Key Auditorium (now the Coconut Grove Convention Center).
According to the police report, Morrison was charged with a number of legal infractions:
I. Lewd and lascivious behavior (felony)
II. Indecent exposure (misdemeanor)
III. Open profanity (misdemeanor)
IV. Drunkeness (misdemeanor)
Accounts of the what happened that night vary greatly according to witnesses. Morrison was acquitted of lewd and lascivious behavior, but was found guilty of indecent exposure and profanity, and he was sentenced to eight months in prison.
Morrison appealed and remained free on bail. He left for Paris with girlfriend Pamela in early 1971, where he died on July 3, 1971.
jim morrison’s grandparents home
from the doors, jim morrison posted in music by pete_nice
Jim Morrison went to live with his paternal grandparents in 1961-62, when he attended classes at St. Petersburg College (then a junior college).
The home was demolished on Aug. 15, 2005. The developers (prominent Scientologist realtors in the area) auctioned the doors (get it?) on eBay to raise money for a charity. A series of condo towers were created on the property, and the developers have stated they would place a memorial plaque in the south tower where Jim Morrison would have lived.
The name The Doors comes from a William Blake quote: "“If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite.”
