energy park studios

from mst3k:the movie, a simple plan posted in movies by pete_nice

Located in the scenic industrial Energy Park area of St. Paul, Energy Park Studios was a filming studio that saw a number of films created within its walls: Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999), Jingle All the Way (1996), A Simple Plan (1998), Grumpier Old Men (1995), Little Big League (1994) and more.

In 1996, locally-produced cult TV series Mystery Science Theater 3000 shot their theatrical release at Energy Park studios.

The number of 90's films shot in the area was partially due to concerted efforts made by then Gov. Jesse "The Mind" Ventura (former professional wrestler/Navy Seal/star of the film Predator) to attract the film industry to work in the state.

Energy Park Studios is currently closed and the building has been converted to the Hmong College Prep Academy.
