For 36 years, this was the location for the popular tv show Austin City Limits (or ACL for short).
In 2011, the location for this program changed venue to the nearby Moody Theater.
What can you say about this show? It is important, timely, and consistently well done. Thanks, PBS.

Located on the river boardwalk area, outside of the Rock Bottom Brewery, is a bronze statue dedicated to the enigmatic character of Arthur Fonzarelli (aka Fonzie, aka the Fonz).
Henry Winkler, the actor who played Fonzie, evidently called the $85,000 donation by a Milwaukee tourism group, "unbelievable."
"Happy Days" was set in the 50's era Milwaukee area. It contributed the indispensable phrase, "Keep it Fonzie," into popular language.
