lindholm service station

The R.W. Lindholm Service Station (currently known as Best Service) in Cloquet, MN was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The concept of the design was intended to fit into Wright's larger Broadacre City project, a Utopian vision of a decentralized American landscape. This gas station remains the only one ever designed by Wright.
Constructed in 1956 (the same year as the Guggenheim Museum), the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 11, 1985. Today, it is on the market for sale.

On October 4, 2011, Jeff Magnum made an impromptu appearance at the Occupy Wall Street protest at Zuccotti Park, playing several Neutral Milk Hotel songs for a cheering and singing audience.
The park is privately owned by Brookfield Properties and is named after company chairman, John Zuccotti. The park used to be named Liberty Plaza Park.

The video for Fatboy Slim's "Praise You", directed by Spike Jonze, was filmed here in the lobby of the Bruin Theatre in Los Angeles. Spike Jonze as Richard Koufey along with The Torrance Community Dance Group dance to the song playing from a boombox as people wait in line to buy tickets.

In their video for "Drop", The Pharcyde ended their walk through downtown Los Angeles in an alleyway between the Chester Williams Building and what is now the CB1 Gallery across from the Alexandria Hotel. Director Spike Jonze filmed them walking backwards starting here, continuing down South Broadway and ending at St. Vincent Court. The video was reversed and plays in the opposite order.
