On July 23, 2011, ambulances arrived at the home of Amy Winehouse after a call from her bodyguard in an attempt to rescusitate her. She was pronounced dead at the scene, with a blood alcohol level more than five times the legal driving limit (0.416%). A coroner's inquest reached a verdict of misadventure. She was 27 years old.

The alma matter of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and several other African American leaders, Morehouse College is a private, all-male, liberal arts, historically black college located in Atlanta.
In 1995, Killer Mike briefly attended Morehouse College, where he met producers The Beat Bullies and eventually Big Boi of OutKast. Gang Starr rapper Guru also attended Morehouse, as well as actor Samuel L. Jackson and director Spike Lee.

Although Nelly was raised in the University City suburb of St. Louis, the muscle car-filled street party in the video for his debut single "Country Grammar" was filmed in North St. Louis near the intersection of Labadie Ave and Marcus Ave looking east.

– No Woman No Cry, Bob Marley & the Wailers
Bob Marley moved to the government-owned Trench Town housing projects in the late 1950s and lived there through his teenage years.
Officially, a man named Vincent Ford, who ran a soup kitchen in Trench Town, wrote No Woman No Cry along with several other Bob Marley songs during this time. It is widely assumed though that Bob Marley did in fact write these songs but listed Ford as the songwriter in order to avoid a contract with Cayman Music and also so that the ongoing royalty checks could support Ford's soup kitchen.
Today Trench Town hosts a museum dedicated to those musicians and notable figures (Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, etc.) who once lived in the neighborhood known as the Hollywood of Jamaica.
