Mr. Miyagi's workshop is also at this address. It was a film crew build on the ground level in a space that is currently a parking stall.

This address is the apartment where Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) moves into with his mother. A beat-down apartment with a pool that has murky water in the bottom, the location only foments Daniel's status as the quintessential underdog.
the psycho house

Although Psycho was a film for Paramount Pictures, by 1960 Alfred Hitchcock had already signed a new deal with Universal, and the filming for Psycho took place on the Universal lot.
Both the house from the Psycho and the Bates Motel were built on the lot. The original house was to be moved to make room for Amblin Entertainment, but it fell apart due to termite infestation. A new house was built from the original plans.
The house construction was based on the 1924 Edward Hopper painting, "The House By The Railroad."
Alfred Hitchcock purchased the film rights to the book "Psycho" anonymously for $9,000.

This exterior film location for the 1963 film "The Birds" served Bodega as a schoolhouse from 1873 to 1961. It was rebuilt for the film, and continues to stand today as a private residence.
Hitchcock fans like to take pictures of themselves running down the hill, swatting away birds that they can later Photoshop in. At least that's what I hear...
tides wharf restaurant

The 1963 Alfred Hitchcock film "The Birds" had the majority of its exterior filming locations in the Bodega Bay area.
The restaurant used in a number of scenes was called The Tides Restaurant. Since renovated, the restaurant is still open and renamed The Tides Wharf Restaurant.
Apparently, Hitchcock hated shooting on location, and almost all interiors were shot in a studio.
