It was one of two Berkeley shops owned by Herb Hollis (the other was Art Music a few blocks away). Here Dick worked as a clerk selling radios, tvs, and appliances. The owner Herb Hollis would become the inspiration for Leo Bulero in The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch.
