This is the address of the second Berkeley store owned by Herb Hollis where Philip K. Dick worked in the '40s. Herb Hollis was a father figure to Dick and the inspiration for characters in several of his books including Leo Bulero in The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch.

This is the address of University Radio and Electronics where Philip K. Dick worked in 1944 when he was fifteen. It was one of two Berkeley shops owned by Herb Hollis (the other was Art Music a few blocks away). Here Dick worked as a clerk selling radios, tvs, and appliances. The owner Herb Hollis would become the inspiration for Leo Bulero in The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch.

Philip K. Dick and his fraternal twin sister Jane were born six weeks prematurely in this Chicago apartment on December 16, 1928. Jane would die not long after in January of the next year.
