Established in 1945, Johnnie's Drive-In is a fixture of the Tupelo, MS community.
Elvis Presley used to frequent Johnnie's to have an RC Cola and a hamburger when he lived here as a kid. He would visit the location whenever he came through on tour, and the restaurant features an "Elvis Booth." Throughout Johnnie's are many pictures and other Elvis memorabilia.

In 1946, Elvis Presley's mother was at this hardware store with her son. To distract Elvis from the .22 rifles, she showed him the guitars. After Elvis began strumming one, she purchased him his first guitar at this location.
The pastor at their church taught him how to play, and Elvis with his guitar became a regular sight around town.

Opened in 1923, Coletta's has been a Memphis institution for years. The King used to love to eat the famous barbeque pizza here (a pizza that Coletta's claims to have invented).
Today, there are two Coletta's in Memphis (this is the one that the King frequented).

This was the last apartment that the Presleys would rent. After moving in in mid 1955, Elvis was having a measure of success recording and touring. The family lived here until May of 1956 when they moved to their first purchased home at 1034 Audobon.
Today, the apartment is a business in a strip mall on Getwell Rd.
