The non-profit Actors Studio in Manhattan is where thespians have been studying method acting, pioneered by studio director Lee Strasberg, for over sixty years. It is currently located at 432 West 44th Street in a converted church. Just a few actors who have been members of the studio include Robert De Niro, Julia Roberts, Gene Hackman and Paul Newman.

In what must be New Los Angeles, the ziggurat-like Chet Holifield Federal Building in Laguna Niguel, California marks the end of the Transcontinental Road Race in the Roger Corman cult classic Death Race 2000 from 1975.

At the My Garage Museum, part of Mid America Motorworks in Effingham, Illinois, you can see the Alligator Car that David Carradine (as Frankenstein) drove across the country in the Roger Corman cult classic Death Race 2000

marin county civic center

The Marin County Civic Center in San Rafael, California, Frank Lloyd Wright's last commission, served as the headquarters of the Gattaca Corporation in the 1997 dystopian sci-fi movie Gattaca. It was also used as a filming location for George Lucas's first movie THX 1138.

In 2007, the first annual Gattaca photo shoot was held there where you were encouraged to show up dressed as I suppose either Uma Thurman, Ethan Hawke or Jude Law. I have no idea if that became a recurring event.
