The Hobbit Boutique Hotel is a Tolkien-themed hotel with rooms named after characters from his writings.
Tolkien was born a couple of blocks away on January 2, 1892. At the time, the area was known as the Orange Free State. The original Tolkien home was destroyed in a flood during the 1920s, but portions of the home were incorporated into the hotel.
