from downton abbey posted in television by pete_nice

Although many much of the exterior (and interior) filming for Downton Abbey were filmed at Highclere Castle and the village of Bampton, Ealing Studios was used for the servants' living quarters.

Ealing Studios is the oldest operating film studio lot in the world. Originally opened in 1902 by Will Barker, Ealing has also been the filming location for classics such as The Ladykillers (1955) and Shaun of the Dead (2004).
